The garage door residential spring anchor bracket is mounted to the garage’s header. The residential spring anchor bracket purpose is to secure the garage door springs in place. The fixture is done by 2 hex head 3/8″ X 1 1/2″ locking bolts attaching to the spring’s stationary cone. The residential spring anchor bracket constantly being under tremendous amount of pressure due to the spring’s torque levels, therefore, it must be mounted correctly to the garage’s header by using 3” lag bolts. The spring anchor bracket type is determined by the distance from the garage’s header to the center line and/or to the tube/shaft. In some cases, bigger lift cable drums may be needed, consequently, bigger end bearing plates are needed as well and as a result, the distance from the header to the center line varies.
